In the winter we maintain our own groomed snowmobile trail from our doorstep to the trail formerly known as 'Route 66' just a few miles away.  Route 66 is the portion of the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association's extensive provincial trail system groomed by 
area snowmobile clubs providing hundreds of miles of first-rate trails in the northeast.

  
   
Chickadee HOLLOW is situated within a popular scenic and recreational destination area with a proven track record of attracting big game and migratory waterfowl hunters.  We are in Wildlife Management Zone (WMZ) 48 bordering WMZs 40 & 56, and can easily accommodate hunting groups, in addition to snowmobiling or cross-country skiing groups.  Inquire about out hunting season (May & Sept. to Dec.) rates and policies.

For those who enjoy nature walking, feel free 
to wander down through our native pasture 
to explore along 1½ miles of lakeshore paths 
bordering a Ducks Unlimited Marsh Reclamation Project.

  
  

Birdwatchers and nature-based tourists alike will enjoy Wadena's Wildlife Wetlands Interpretive Area (45 minutes away) as well as the Ducks Unlimited International Centre located in town.  You'll want to take in the Shorebirds and Friends Festival held at the end of May during peak shorebird and waterfowl migration season.
